When you have to work with someone you do not trust

Psalm 90:17

Ask God to establish the work of your hands.

When you have to work with someone you do not trust. This is the kind of moment that can expose what has really been running underneath. You may not control the other person, the timing, the number, the diagnosis, or the outcome. You do control what you agree with and what you bring to Jesus Christ. Work matters, but it is a place of stewardship, not your source of identity. Jesus Christ is Lord in the office, the unemployment line, and the next chapter. Do the next faithful thing, then stop trying to carry the part that belongs to God.

Which reaction feels automatic here, and what would obedience look like instead?

Jesus Christ, I release my need to control how this turns out. Help me steward what You actually placed in my hands and trust You with what You did not. Amen.
